The coffee had a really good amount of milk foam and was very smooth. The Raspberry Candy drink was on the sweeter side, with a strong fruity flavour at first and a white chocolate taste coming through afterwards. The food also very good, and all of the signature drinks were well made and enjoyable. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth trying.

This is an award-winning coffee cafe!! I love the unique flavours of their coffee, and it is slightly different to what you would usually get from other cafes. We had brunch here, and the meals were beautifully presented, both in terms of visual appeal and taste. We will definitely revisit this place.

We really enjoyed the coffee and food here. The pistachio iced latte was a standout and also really liked the maple blend. The ice cream in the raspberry affogato by Luther’s scoops was divine. The fritters were excellent also, not stodgy like some I’ve had elsewhere . The warehouse space and deck area are gorgeous, perfect brunch setting. The only minor letdown was the service from a couple of staff. One of the waitresses was lovely but two other staff members we interacted with were not as friendly as they could have been. However, we enjoyed the food and coffee so much we’d still gladly return, but a more welcoming attitude from staff would help elevate the experience from great to exceptional.

Had brunch at ONA Coffee Brunswick and absolutely loved it! The food was top-notch — the barramundi was perfectly crispy, and the duck leg came with the most amazing roti and peanut combo. Their pistachio hot cake was soft, rich, and not overly sweet — easily my favorite dish. Tried two of their hidden drinks too: the Iced Dubai Chocolate and the Happy Tummy (strawberry matcha with pistachio cream) — both were unique and beautifully made. Coffee here is exceptional, roasted in-house using their Raspberry Candy blend with fruity, chocolatey notes. You can really tell the team knows their craft. Cozy spot with friendly staff and great energy. Definitely one of the best cafés I’ve visited in Brunswick!

Definitely one of the best cafés in Melbourne! So many coffee options — and not just for black coffee lovers, even the milk-based coffees are next level. The vibes are great, the space feels lively but relaxed, and the staff are genuinely lovely. Shoutout to the waitress and especially the barista — super friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. We ordered the turkish eggs and the okonomiyaki waffle, and wow… both were way beyond my expectations Bonus points for the beautiful latte art too (sorry I forgot to take a photo — too busy enjoying it ). Will 100% be back!

A local Aussie friend recommended this place, saying it’s their favorite café in Melbourne — and now I totally see why. It’s about 6 km from the CBD, and when we arrived around 11 AM on a Sunday, the place was packed inside and out. Our group of four waited about 20–25 minutes for a table. I ordered an espresso as usual, since plain coffee is the best way to judge the beans. The roast here was excellent — smooth, well-balanced, not bitter or burnt at all. We also tried three brunch dishes: Benny, Pork Belly, and Waffle. All were creative and made with high-quality ingredients. My favorite was the Waffle — it reminded me of a premium version of Takoyaki, unique and full of flavor. Definitely a must-visit café in Melbourne. After your coffee, take a stroll around Brunswick — one of the few suburbs that still keeps its charming, less urban vibe.

This lovely spot is perfect for sharing with friends. The cosy front yard and great coffee selection 5 out of 5 . Great place to relax. We ordered chilli eggs and Turkish and both were good . I’d rate them 4 out of 5.

The coffee was awesome, service was amazing and the food was yummy. I enjoyed having my breakfast. The coffee bean flavor was great. Bathroom was clean. The design on the coffee was cute. I live their unique flavours of their coffee.

This ONA has a rustic warehouse fit-out aerving excellent coffee and food. Staff are friendly. Quick service. Their raspberry candy blend remains to be my favourite coffee blend. Highly recommend the cured salmon served on rosemary focaccia, definitely ratong it to be one of the best cured salmon brunch meal I've had...the citrus yuzu jam works perfectly wih the salmon and adding a great flavour complexity to the dish.

I’ve lived in Melbourne for over ten years, and I can probably count on one hand how many times I’ve been to Brunswick — but wow, this area is such a hidden gem. ONA Coffee truly impressed me. Knowing it was founded by an Australian World Champion barista, I had high expectations — and it absolutely delivered. I honestly had one of the best coffees I’ve tasted in the past couple of years here. I was so happy! In fact, when I went to Seven Seeds later that afternoon (which used to be one of my favourites), the coffee suddenly felt almost tasteless in comparison. The brunch was just as impressive. The prawn roll was incredible — the pickled onions were the perfect finishing touch, and the chili sauce on the side took it to another level. If anyone knows the recipe for that sauce, please let me know — it’s seriously addictive! We also ordered the mushroom dish, and it was unbelievably rich and full of deep umami flavour. Pairing it with a bit of that chili sauce from the prawn roll? Absolutely next level. And of course, the coffee deserves special mention. Every cup had its own character, and each one was excellent. Highly recommend the Maple and the Pistachio Cream Iced Latte — both were outstanding. Definitely worth the trip to Brunswick. I’ll be back.

Brunch and coffee lovers you need to come here! The atmosphere is amazing with natural light. Their green and light filled courtyard too if you prefer outdoors. Tried their signature sunny coffee and raspberry coffee which was so good in summer. Benny and duck were great but I'd also recommend the hotcakes!

Had an amazing brunch experience at ONA Melbourne. The food presentation, flavours, and overall quality were outstanding. We ordered the Turkish Eggs which were rich and comforting with perfectly poached eggs and smoked chilli butter, and the Citrus Cured Salmon which was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced. For dessert, the Pistachio Hotcake was a standout indulgent, unique, and absolutely delicious. Drinks were just as impressive, especially the Pistachio Cream Iced Latte and the Raspberry Candy Affogato. Great coffee, creative menu, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend for brunch and specialty coffee lovers. Will definitely be back! 22 Ovens Street, Brunswick East

Had the Berry cloud, this is one of the best cold brew coffee I've ever had! The duck salad was a little on the dry side. Pork belly was super crispy, juicy and salad was well seasoned. Pork belly and berry cloud is highly recommended. Would come back again! Parking around is a little of a nightmare just fyi

The explanations are excellent and the latte art is lovely. They're very kind!! And they give me some espresso. It has rich flavor and I love it. I had no idea coffee could have such a wide variety of flavours.

The Nik Take

ONA Coffee lives up to its reputation for quality and creativity. I tried the pistachio latte, and it was perfectly balanced—nutty, smooth, and not overly sweet. The space feels polished yet welcoming, and the baristas clearly know their craft. It’s a great spot to slow down, enjoy specialty coffee, and appreciate the attention to detail in every cup. Definitely one for true coffee lovers

Stopped in for coffee and dessert—didn’t try the full menu, so can’t fully judge, but what we had was lovely. The apple turnover was perfectly sweet with lots of cinnamon, and the blueberry muffin had a generous amount of fruit. Coffee was not bad, smooth and beautifully presented with dragon latte art. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Bonus points for the ramp access, which is great if you can’t use the stairs at the entrance. You can also scan and pay from your table, which means no lining up at the counter. Only downside: parking in the area can be tricky, so plan ahead if you’re driving.
